School Days Out

School days out in Littlehampton offer every child the chance to explore maritime Britain in a friendly, hands-on environment. Visitors will be amazed by this unique town’s long history and the stories behind its geographical changes and people. Littlehampton’s marine life and ambience is also of great interest, as the harbour is still in use and hosts an active fishing community. So let us show you why the Edwardians referred to Littlehampton as the ‘Children’s Paradise’!

Harbour Park & Look and Sea

view from the Look and Sea
The Look and Sea Centre has interactive exhibition rooms and a 5 storey observation tower, which provides the most magnificent views of Littlehampton’s working harbour, the River Arun and the South Downs.

Harbour Park itself is shrouded in history, as a working mill once occupied the site. During refurbishments one of its original mill stones was unearthed, which can now be viewed by the Park’s Fantasy Ride. Additionally, the Sharkesville Crazy Golf Course has its own tale; it is built on the site of an old Fort Battery which was constructed in 1759-1760 in order to protect the harbour.
