Sussex Days Out

A Weekend in West Sussex.

Littlehampton is a beautiful waterfront & seafront town with an unspoilt beach and ample parking.  20 minutes from Chichester, 30 minutes from Brighton and 90 minutes from London.  We have all you need for a day out or weekend in Historic Sussex.

We have listed some of the many nearby places to visit or days out with the kids that can make for a great weekend break.

Arundel - 10 min drive

Arundel truly is a picture postcard of England. It is a delightful hillside town, which hosts the Duke of Norfolk's historic castle, 19th Century Cathedral, boating lake, hill walking and traditional pubs and antique shops. A day out to Arundel makes the other day of a weekend trip a totally different experience to Littlehampton, so within two days you and your family could have visited and experienced the Best of Britain.

Chichester - 20 min drive

If shopping is another pastime of yours, then Chichester is the place to visit! It is a historic cathedral city, and it goes all the way back to the Roman invasion of Britain in AD43. Nowadays, it provides a unique shopping atmosphere and is considered an artistic hub by visitors. There is ample parking facilities and wide cobbled streets with all the well-known market brands; Overall, Chichester really does give you an excuse to make that weekend trip, a long weekend trip instead!

Goodwood - 20 min drive

Goodwood is yet another reason to extend your stay in Sussex, especially in the spring and summer months. Known for its glitzy horse racing, motoring enthusiasm and grand events, a visit here could put the icing on the cake for your short break in Sussex. Take the grandchildren to the world famous Festival of Speed or attend a family-friendly event at Goodwood races; all in all Goodwood allows you to really spoil yourself and others with you.

South Downs National Park

The South Downs National Park is 1 of only 15 National Parks in the UK.  The South Downs is recognised internationally as an area of outstanding beauty and provides families a more natural way to escape everyday life. Here you can walk, cycle or even horse ride along the South Downs Way, whilst enjoying the traditional ale and visiting countryside pubs & Inns. Therefore, a nice walk on what the locals call 'The Down's' can be a relaxing and peaceful way to round off your stay in the diverse surroundings of Historic Sussex.
