EAST BEACH

EAST PIER

The East Pier sits where the River Arun meets the sea, and is the perfect place to spend some quiet time on a hot summers day. Relax and enjoy the view of both the beach and river and if your feeling a tad sleepy, then there is nothing stopping you having a little snooze as many locals do.
Where else could you enjoy best of both worlds?
THE RIVER ARUN WALK
From the quaint lighthouse on the East Pier, if you turn around and head inland down the riverside there is a pleasant walk to be had. With views of the river, the marina and in the distance Arundel and the South Downs National Park. This walk is a great way to unwind the whole family, particularly with an ice cream in everyone's hand. But keep that ice cream close as our resident swans may wish to come and give you a friendly hello :)
WEST BEACH
Access to West Beach and its sand dunes is across a footbridge on the riverside towards the town centre. This area is part of a nature reserve and a site of special scientific interest, which has national protection. As a result, this beach is generally quieter and includes sand flats, shingle and one of only 3 sand dune systems in West Sussex.
Its Perfect for couples!
